Soul Searchers

Washington DC based and fronted by Chuck Brown, former guitar player of Jerry Butler, who is also seen as one of the originators of Washington’s Go-Go scene. They released 2 fine albums on Sussex, slowly developing their sound into something reminiscent of Kool & The Gang or Earth Wind & Fire. Vampisoul released a solid Soul Searchers compilation in 2007.

Their first album, containing a cover of the James Brown/Lyn Collins stormer Think. Produced by Caroll Hynson and Joe Tate.

Their second album, containing the breakbeat monster Ashley's Roachclip, as sampled by Milli Vanilli and countless others. Produced by Caroll Hynson and Joe Tate.
